Strange way of taking your deposit money!

It might of been a descent nice place a few years back but not anymore, they ask for a $150 to prelease when they don't even know if they're gonna have any apartments available then they deny your application for whatever reason they send you a letter 2 weeks after you applied telling you you've been denied but they don't return your deposit money, strange way to operate and take away people's money don't you think?

Village Green Apartments - San Marcos, TX

This apartment complex is great for students who don't like the typical "student-living" complexes in San Marcos - it's tucked in side a neighborhood, 2 miles from campus, and on the bus route. The office staff are nice and maintenance is timely (although I haven't had many issues). The only complaint is it's proximity to the train-tracks, and my apartment shakes every time one rolls by. I actually like the train; it's soothing (except when I'm outside because the noise). Overall, I would... recommend this apartment complex - especially for older or grad students.

I intend to live here next year! I have visited the property on more than one occasion. The people are super nice And helpful. And the rent is decently reasonable!
