Just Alright Village Green is not a horrible place to live. It is also not an amazing place to live. The units are fairly basic, but not overly plagued by cheap issues, though there are some. Textured walls, poor ventilation for the shower, the shower tiles having peeling paint. The amenities are, similarly, just okay. The pool is average, but maintained well. The fitness center is pretty pathetic, but can be useful for some resistance training. I would not recommend using the treadmill or elliptical, as they both make concerning noises when in use and are visibly poorly maintained. Management is uncooperative and only concerned with the bottom line. It is a suitable place to live, but if prices raise much more it'll be a bad value.

Strange way of taking your deposit money!
It might of been a descent nice place a few years back but not anymore, they ask for a $150 to prelease when they don't even know if they're gonna have any apartments available then they deny your application for whatever reason they send you a letter 2 weeks after you applied telling you you've been denied but they don't return your deposit money, strange way to operate and take away people's money don't you think?

Village Green Apartments - San Marcos, TX
This apartment complex is great for students who don't like the typical "student-living" complexes in San Marcos - it's tucked in side a neighborhood, 2 miles from campus, and on the bus route. The office staff are nice and maintenance is timely (although I haven't had many issues). The only complaint is it's proximity to the train-tracks, and my apartment shakes every time one rolls by. I actually like the train; it's soothing (except when I'm outside because the noise). Overall, I would recommend this apartment complex - especially for older or grad students.

I like these apartments the most!!!
I intend to live here next year! I have visited the property on more than one occasion. The people are super nice And helpful. And the rent is decently reasonable!
